Available for download, Sugar Bytes Consequence is a software tool that enables sound design in the mix. Essentially, Consequence is an arpeggiator, creating a sequence of note patterns based on any chord you feed it. The software lets you load up to three instruments, and provides a vast array of sequencing opportunities.Consequence provides three oscillators and a 32-step sequencer that enable you to create a bevy of eccentric sounds and ideosyncratic rhythms. With 800MB of sound samples on hand, you can fashion interesting timbres that work for your mix or production, and you can run them through the multi-effect section for processing all sound within one plug-in.Each of the three instruments you can load has its own individual envelope. Each step of the sequence has polyphonic output triggers. A 4/4 kick drum is built into the synth to anchor your creations if need be. You can also route this kick drum to the sidechain input of a master compressor to create a useful ducking effect.This software is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It will operate in standalone, VST2, AU, and AAX formats.
