Overloud Jensen Falcon 10 SuperCabinet IR Library (Download) Overview
Achieve a warm, articulate, and open guitar tone while enjoying a realistic playing feel with the Overloud Jensen Falcon 10, an impulse response (IR) library made for the TH-U SuperCabinet (available separately). Brought about through collaboration with a product specialist from Jensen Speakers, these 576 carefully captured IRs yield the Falcon 10’s signature tone—bright and fast treble along with natural midrange. Known for delivering a sound much larger than its size, the Falcon 10″ C10/40 FA 40W Ceramic speaker was used in two cabinets (1×10″ open-back and 2×10″ closed-back) for tonal variety in this library.
Detailed Source Capture
This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Falcon 10″ C10/40 FA 40W Ceramic speaker from the Jet series, installed in two different cabinets (1×10″ open-back and 2×10″ closed-back). The 576 total IRs were developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.
Enhanced Openness
A very successful and versatile 10″ speaker, the Falcon 10 adds a new dimension of openness to the classic, fat, and warm tone of its 12″ version. The membrane is based on a natural, hemp-like material, responsible for the organic response in the midrange. The seamed cone delivers an unexpected bass response for its 10″ size and it is balanced perfectly with its sweet yet cutting and present high end.
Two Cabinet Configurations
In the 1×10″ configuration, the Falcon 10 is known for a huge, articulate tone, much bigger than the speaker itself. In a 2×10″ enclosure, it retains the fast attack and the sparkle, coupled with a full-bodied solid tone.
