Overloud COMP76 FET Compressor – Dynamics Plug-In (Download)

The COMP76 from Overloud is a dynamics plug-in that realistically emulates the sound and behavior of a legendary FET compressor/limiter, but with capabilities enhanced by additional features that go beyond the hardware’s original controls. With its lightning-fast attack & release times, and musically pleasing tone, this plug-in can output a wide variety of sounds, ranging from subtle, near-transparent compression, to all-out distortion, ideal for vocals, drums, guitars, basses, keys, and more.

All the familiar controls are here. Attack & release time, input & output levels, and compression ratio, including the famous All-Buttons-In configuration, also known as “British” mode. By just turning a knob, the Comp76 lets you create parallel compression to reduce the dynamic range of a track while leaving the transients intact. The plug-in also offers Mid/Side processing which allows you to separately compress the mono and stereo elements of a track, improving the stereo image or helping individual instruments stand out in the mix.

Other features include sidechain compression, A/B comparison, and multilevel undo/redo. To get you working right away, the Comp76 comes with a large selection of useful presets that were designed during real mixing sessions.

Key Features
  • Realistic simulation of legendary FET compressor-limiter
  • 4th generation DSP technology
  • Simulation of all transformers in the original unit
  • Emulates the original All-Buttons-In mode
  • Sidechain processing
  • Low CPU usage (more than 1000 instances on a Macbook Pro Retina)
  • Multilevel undo/redo

  • Large selection of presets designed during real mixing sessions
Built-In Parallel Processing
  • Achieved by summing the compressor output to the original track
  • Use Parallel knob — no need to create complex routing inside the DAW
Built-In Mid/Side Processing
  • Separately compress the mono and stereo elements of the track — with different compression settings for each
Overloud Gem EQ495 Super Musical EQ – Parametric Equalizer Plug-In (Download)

The Gem EQ495 Super Musical EQ from Overloud is a parameter equalizer plug-in that emulates the sound and characteristics of a legendary German analog EQ, originally used for disc cutting. Flexible and musical, it lets you set wide and gentle EQ curves, which are great for opening up your sound, adding tone to the bottom end, and giving presence and depth to your mixes.

The plug-in features three EQ bands – bass, mid, and high – each with fixed frequencies and +/- stepped gain. It also comes with high-pass and low-pass filters, and input/output knobs for custom gain staging. The EQ495’s midrange band offers 11 EQ points and a choice of narrow, middle, and broad bandwidth, which provide precise control over the frequencies that are most effective when optimizing your mixes for listening on small computer speakers or headphones.

  • High-fidelity equalizer modeled after a legendary German analog EQ, originally used for disc cutting

Overloud TAPEDESK Console and 2″ 24-Track Tape Emulation Plug-In (Download)

You may have seen your share of console and tape-machines emulating plug-ins, but you may not have seen one plug-in that faithfully emulates both. Enter TAPEDESK from Overloud, available for download and created to model the interaction between a console preamp, channel strip, transformer path, and 24-track 2” tape machine. Automating a process that often takes many plugins working together in tandem, TAPEDESK seeks to put these processes on one instance of your track, simulating the path from a console to a tape machine and back into a console again.

Three consoles have been emulated, the S4000, N80, and T88. The S4000 provides an aggressive character suitable for rock, metal, and pop, while the N80 gives you a rich English sound synonymous with vintage tone. The T88 gives you a push in the midrange and an overall thick tone. You can select models of the mic pre, and input and output stages of a given console. A trim pot and an output slider are provided. The Tolerances button mimics the slight variances you’d see in a given console, as no two channel strips on a weathered, analog board would give you the exact same response.

The Tape Machine component of the plug-in sports linkable controls for record level and playback level as well as tape speed, bias, and wow/flutter. Metering is provided for the input, tape, and output sections of the plug-in, which is switchable between VU and PPM at any point of the chain.

The plug-in requires very little CPU to run, making it suitable for use on multiple tracks. Many plug-ins engineered for real-world mixing scenarios have been included. This plug-in works on both Mac and PC platforms and can operate in AU, VST, AAX, and standalone applications. You can run TAPEDESK in both 32- and 64-bit.

Key Features at a Glance
  • Simulation of three vintage and respected analog consoles
  • Simulation of a 2” 24-track tape machine
  • Faithful interactions between the console and the tape machine
  • Precise metering at any point of the sound chain
  • Simulation of all transformers in the original units
  • Very low CPU usage; use across all of your tracks without stressing your system
  • Lots of presets designed in real mixing sessions
Overloud EQ84 – Class A British Equalizer Plug-In (Download)

The EQ84 from Overloud is a 6-band, semi-parametric equalizer plug-in simulating the Neve 1084, a coveted, discrete Class A British EQ from the 1970s. The plug-in is designed for standalone and DAW use on instruments and mix buses by mixing and mastering engineers, producers, and electronic musicians.

All components of the original EQ circuit, including the transformers, have been modeled. Simulations of the line and mic preamplifiers are included, providing the ability to drive the input section for increased harmonic saturation. Using proprietary, non-oversampling DSP technology, the hardware unit’s original frequency response has been reproduced without phase distortion, even near the Nyquist frequency.

The EQ84 includes features not found on the original analog hardware EQ. The plug-in has an additional mid band, making a total of six EQ bands (two shelving, two peaking, one high cut, and one low cut). Each band offers continuous frequency selection and a solo function. The two mid bands provide switchable low- or high-Q.

Low CPU usage and compatibility with multiple DAWs make the EQ84 ideal for modern workflows.

Overloud Dopamine – Exciter and Harmonic Enhancer Plug-In (Download)

Available for download, Dopamine from Overloud is an exciter and harmonic enhancer that emulates two vintage tape-encoding processors, allowing you to revive individual tracks and add color to complex mixes, all while preserving, and not destroying, the inherent character of your mix. Emulating the processors found on AN-180 and D361 units gives you the option of two distinct cartridges (A-Type and Stressor). Dopamine seeks to balance the audio content already found in the sound source, allowing you to manipulate the dynamic response of the sound without introducing unwanted artifacts.

Dopamine requires very little CPU power to run, making it suitable for use on multiple tracks. Many plug-ins engineered for real-world mixing scenarios have been included. Dopamine works on both Mac and PC platforms and can operate as an AU, VST, or AAX plug-in and as a standalone on 32- or 64-bit systems.
