Overloud Choptones Pivy 5051 4×12 SHEF IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet (Download) Overview

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modelling software will be impressed with the Overloud Choptones Pivy 5051 4×12 SHEF, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Peavey 5150 4×12 with Peavey Sheffield 1200 speakers, in a slanted-front, closed-back, solid birch cabinet, great with the 5150 head for exemplary high-gain tones.

This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Pivy 5051 4×12 SHEF provides a really powerful voice for high gain.

Made for SuperCabinet

SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. The Pivy 5051 4×12 SHEF IR library is a great choice for guitarists seeking a powerful voice for high-gain tones in an affordable package.

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

Pivy 5051 4×12 SHEF

The cabinet features a slanted front, closed back, and solid birch plywood construction. Matching with the glorious 5150 head provides great high-gain tones. The story goes, Eddie Van Halen gave his favorite Greenback speaker to Peavey to model. The result was the Sheffield 1200 and the rest is history. Pairs nicely with the 5150 head for a powerful high gain voice.
