Overloud Choptones Gas 4×12 K100 IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet (Download) Overview

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modeling software will be impressed with the Overloud Choptones Gas 4×12 K100, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Diezel 4×12 with Celestion G12-K100 speakers, in a straight-front closed-back solid African-okoume cabinet, well suited for heavy and high-gain styles.

This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Gas 4×12 K100 provides modern high-gain tones with a massive bottom, focused mid-range, and modern top-end.

Made for the SuperCabinet

The SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. The Gas 4×12 K100 IR library is a great choice for guitarists seeking a versatile and powerful, rock-oriented guitar-amp combo in an affordable package.

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

Gas 4×12 K100

The cabinet has a straight front and closed back, and solid African-okoume construction. It provides a powerful sound with a tight low end. The speaker has a huge magnet and the huge tone is great for modern high-gain tones with massive bottom, focused midrange, and modern top end.
