Overloud Choptones Brit 1960 4×12 V30 Library for TH-U SuperCabinet (Download) Overview

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modeling software will be impressed with the Overloud Choptones BRIT 1960 4×12 V30, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Marshall 1960 A 4×12 with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers in a slanted-front closed-back solid-birch-plywood cabinet, well suited for modern rock.

This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Brit 1960 4×12 V30 provides warm low-end with a rich midrange and detailed top-end.

Made for the SuperCabinet

The SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

The cabinet has a slanted-front closed-back solid-birch-plywood construction. The cabinet might possibly be the most commonly used 4×12 for the perfect modern rock tone. The speaker is made by coupling the old Celestion H magnet with new cone and coil, resulting in a warm low-end with a rich midrange and detailed top-end.
