Description

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for TH-U SuperCabinet modeling software will be impressed with Overloud Choptones Zil 2×12 Fat LYN, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Zilla Custom Fatboy 2×12 with Celestion G12-50GL Lynchback speakers in a straight-front open-back solid birch-plywood cabinet.

This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Zil 2×12 Fat LYN provides vintage warmth and modern punch.

Made for SuperCabinet

The SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. The Zil 2×12 Fat LYN IR library is a great choice for guitarists seeking a flexible cabinet with vintage warmth and modering punch in an affordable package.

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
Zil 2×12 Fat LYN
The cabinet features a straight front, closed back, and solid Baltic-birch-plywood construction, which provides a modern tone with extra punchy low mids. The speaker, made for George Lynch, merges together the old Celestion legacy with modern features. The result is a great signature sound with vintage warmth and modern punch.
