NoiseWorks TranSplit (Download)

TranSplit: Transient Shaper Plugin For Punch And Body

Balance punch and body with one slider. TranSplit splits every hit into Punch and Body, so you shift the focus of drums, kick and bass in seconds.

One slider

Moves the balance between Punch and Body, live while the track plays.

Detailed detection

Sensitivity sets how finely the dynamics are captured.

Frequency focus

Trigger shifts the focus towards the kick or towards the crashes.

How TranSplit Shapes Transients: Punch And Body

TranSplit samples the dynamics of the incoming signal in high resolution and divides them into Punch (yellow) and Body (blue). Punch is the attack of each hit, Body is what rings on after it. The slider decides where the focus goes, so even very dynamic instruments come under control quickly.

• Punch and Body shown live on the waveform
• Ratio shown while you move the slider

Drums

Shift a drum bus from the crashes towards the kick, or back.

Kick

More attack or more weight, with one move of the slider.

Bass

Bring out the pluck of each note or the body behind it.

What is a transient shaper?

A transient shaper changes the shape of each sound instead of its overall level: it makes the attack at the start of a hit louder or softer and brings the part that rings on after it forward or back. TranSplit does this with one slider that moves the balance between Punch, the attack, and Body, what rings on after it.
