NoiseWorks GainAim (Download)

GainAim: Real-Time Voice Leveler For Vocals And Dialogue

Set a target and GainAim rides the level of vocals and dialogue while they play, with latency low enough for the stage.

Built for live use

Low latency, so the voice stays in time on stage and while tracking.

Five speed modes

Squash, Fast, Rider, Leveler and Locked, from punchy rap to opera.

Noise floor control

Breath noise and background below a set threshold stay down.

A Real-Time Voice Leveler That Rides The Gain For You

Set the target loudness and GainAim brings vocals and dialogue there while they play. It reacts a moment ahead, so a phrase is caught before it gets too loud or too quiet, and the low latency keeps the voice in time.

• Target loudness and noise floor right on the waveform
• The gain meter shows every move in real time

Five Modes For Every Voice And Genre

GainAim adapts to any genre and signal, from opera and rock to hip-hop and rap. Instruments like guitar and drums benefit too. The modes control how quickly GainAim adjusts the signal to the target loudness.

RiderKeeps the natural sound, for studio and live

FastBass and dynamic signals like percussion and rap

SquashPushes the signal instantly to the target

On stage

Latency low enough to ride a live vocal in real time.

While recording

Signal Preparation evens out the level before the compressor.

In the mix

A steady vocal hits the compressor more consistently.

Speech and voice-over

Dialogue, podcast and voice-over at an even target loudness.

Voice Leveler Or Compressor?

Level first, then compress. GainAim brings every phrase to the same loudness, so the compressor after it works on a steady signal and does not pump on the loud parts.
