MusicLab RealLPC Virtual Guitar Instrument (Download) Overview
The RealLPC Virtual Guitar Instrument from MusicLab is a sample-based virtual instrument that emulates the sound of a Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar, allowing you to play guitar parts with a keyboard controller. The software features Sound Humanize technology that is designed to provide a realistic-sound guitar performance when played through a keyboard, allowing such humanizing playing elements as fret noise, release noise, and pick noise. A variety of articulation styles are offered to help cater to different playing styles, including up/down strokes, hammer-ons and pull-offs, tapping, trill, tremolo, and others.
The built-in Pattern Manager syncs with your host DAW’s tempo and time signature and helps you create accompaniment tracks by displaying available rhythm patterns. RealLPC can be controlled by a standard MIDI keyboard, a guitar game controller, or via a regular guitar with a MIDI interface. It supports VST 2 and DXi plug-in formats on PC and VST 2 and AU formats on Mac.
- Multi-channel layering technology, incorporating a custom library of specially recorded samples taken from every fret of all 6 strings of a real guitar
- The Floating Fret Position technology imitates change of fret position of a guitarist’s hand on the neck. This gives you the possibility of playing on up to 140 guitar frets using just 46 keys of a standard keyboard
- Guitar Touch technology letting you imitate basic guitar techniques (strumming, plucking, sliding, bending, muting, etc.), using standard MIDI keyboard and MIDI controllers, such as Pitch Bender, Modulation Wheel, Sustain Pedal, and Aftertouch
- Sound Humanize technology allowing the removal of ‘machine gun’ effect on note repetition (tremolo, strumming, etc.)
- Guitar Rhythm Pattern technology providing powerful Pattern Manager complete with huge MusicLab Guitar Pattern Library for creating guitar accompaniment tracks. All you have to do is to find the appropriate rhythm pattern(s) in the Pattern Manager tree view, copy it to the needed number of measures, start your sequencer and use a MIDI keyboard to play chord changes, or alternatively add chords to a MIDI track via the sequencer’s editor
- The unique Struminator technology allows you use alternative MIDI controllers, such as a standard Guitar Hero game controller for Sony Playstation 3 by Activision Inc., for creating authentic guitar accompaniment parts with ease and fun
