Built for DJs, drummers, producers, and soundtrack composers, UJAM Beatmaker DOPE 2 is a software instrument doubling as your personal real-time drum-track creator for producing authentic-sounding electronic hits, beats, and grooves for boom bap, hip-hop, and rap styles.
Beatmakers DOPE 2 offers 10 separate drum kits, each professionally layered, compiled, and mixed to create the instantly recognizable sonic identity associated with the genre. Choose from over 50 different styles containing 1180 different rhythmical phrases for instant song intros, fills, verses, choruses, breakdowns, and endings—all waiting to be fired off and arranged using your MIDI controller in real time.
Select one of the twelve Mix settings, and boost the intensity of your beat using the Amount knob. The Vinyl Drive function simulates retro turntable noise and compression to add retro dirt and punch. Optimized for live arrangement and mixing, Beatmaker DOPE 2 takes advantage of UJAM’s simple yet powerful macro controls, allowing for dynamic and tonal tweaking on the fly.
Drag and Drop Phrases into DAW
- You can now drag phrases like intros, verses, or choruses straight from the interactive UI keyboard to the Beatmaker instrument track of your DAW. This opens up a slew of creative options.
Mix Section with Beat Intensity
- The Mix section features a set of twelve mix presets optimized for EDM, big room, and rave production.
- Use the Amount knob for thumping lows, smooth stereo widening, slap delay, EQ carving, and many other processing methods rolled into 12 mix presets, allowing you to transform the sound of your beats in moments.
- Use the Beat Intensity control to make quick changes—adjust energy levels between your verse and chorus.
Special Control: Vinyl Drive
- Vinyl Drive simulates retro turntable noise and compression to add dirt and punch.
Master Section for Sound Processing
- The Master section processes the stereo output of Beatmaker, excluding the Instruments you’ve sent through individual outputs.
- One-knob saturation, loudness maximizer, ambience selector, dual filter sweep, and more.
Individual Audio Outputs
- With individual outputs, you can route any instrument or channel from Beatmaker to separate channels on your DAW’s mixer.
Studio One Integration
- Exclusive Studio One (v4.6.2 and later) piano-roll integration: The names of styles and drum elements are displayed on the keys of your piano roll to help you find the right styles and drums, faster and more easily, for your track.
- The scale range of the styles and instruments are highlighted with a red line on the left side of your piano roll.
