Description

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modelling software will be impressed with the Overloud Choptones Eddi3 4×12 EV, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a EVH 5150III 4×12 with Celestion G12-EVH speakers, in a straight-front closed-back 7-ply birch and pine plywood cabinet, well suited for classic Eddie Van Halen tones.

This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Eddi3 4×12 EV provides vintage musicality to your tone.

Made for the SuperCabinet

The SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. The Eddi3 4×12 EV library is a great choice for guitarists seeking a versatile and powerful metal-oriented guitar-amp combo in an affordable package.

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

Eddi3 4×12 EV

The cabinet has a straight front and closed back and is constructed with 7-ply birch and pine plywood. It is a really solid enclosure with enormous tone. The speaker is faithfully inspired by an early era Greenback used by Eddie Van Halen to create is trademark guitar tone—a 20W tone monster.
