Overloud Choptones Bogie Tran30 Rig Expansion Library for TH-U (Download) Overview
Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modelling software will be impressed with the Overloud Choptones Bogie RK Open 4×12 C90, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Mesa Boogie 4×12 Road King with Mesa Boogie Black Shadow MC90 speakers, in a slanted-front, closed-back (left) and open-back (right), marine-grade Baltic birch plywood cabinet. The cabinet is a swiss army knife for guitar tone due to the hybrid closed/open back structure.
This library features IRs systematically captured with 12 mics on a motorized mic stand for over 300 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 to 16 positions each, with some of the mics receiving an extra off-axis capture at 45°. The Bogie RK Open 4×12 C90 is great when paired with open-back cabinets, offering great headroom and tone complexity.
- Graphically browse the IRs in the library
- Blend them together
- Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
- Use the IR in the software
- Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

Every microphone has been moved to 4 different horizontal positions (cap, cap edge, cone, and cone edge), two distances each, for a total of 8 IRs each. For some of the microphones, the measurements have been repeated with the microphone at an off axis (45°). All measurements have been repeated with two different mic preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp.
