Description

Guitarists looking to expand their cabinet IRs for the TH-U SuperCabinet modeling software will be impressed with the Overloud The Amp Factory TAF GH12Alnico, an IR library that extensively captures the full-sounding guitar tone of a Marshall 4×12 1968 with Celestion GH12-preRola speakers.

The TAF GH12Alnico was handpicked by Jimi Hendrix for its unique looks and sound. It provides an incredible lower-mid punch, making this cabinet a riff machine workhorse. This library features IRs systematically captured with 15 mics for over 100 total impulse responses. The mics recorded IRs in 8 positions each with two distances using a Great River MP2nV.

Made for SuperCabinet
The SuperCabinet IR processor makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. Andy from TheAmpFactory, in his Orangetreestudios HQ, captured this cabinet with GH12-preRola speakers that smooths out any harshness from distorted tones. It provides a gloss to the upper midrange while maintaining a tight low end; great for driving rock vibes.

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV-file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
