Description

The Jensen Tornado Stealth 80 Large Cabs IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet from Overloud is a SuperCabinet IR library that captures the smooth, well-defined tone of the Jensen Jet Tornado 80 neodymium speakers in multiple 2×12 and 4×12 cabinet configurations, all captured by 19 microphones for a whopping 912 total impulse responses. A speaker long respected for its clarity and punch, this IR library is a great choice for exceptional attack and pure clean tone for palm-muted riffs, power chords, and rhythm playing.

The 19 mics were used to record in four different horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. Designed exclusively for the SuperCabinet IR processor, a program which makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use with external IR loaders and modelers, the Jensen Tornado 80 Large Cabs IR Library is an ideal choice for those seeking powerful, present, and contemporary leaning guitar tone in an affordable package.

Note:

This IR library requires that you own TH-U SuperCabinet.
Made for The SuperCabinet
The Jensen Tornado 80 library is designed exclusively for use with TH-U SuperCabinet, which can either be used as a standalone IR library or with the TH-U plug-in. SuperCabinet allows you to:

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend them together
  • Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
  • Use the IR in the software
  • Export the IRs in WAV format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
Crystal Clear Modern Guitar Tone
This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Tornado Stealth 80 Large Cabs speaker, from the Jet Series, installed in three different enclosures:

  • 2×12″ open-back cabinet
  • 2×12″ closed-back cabinet
  • 4×12″ closed-back cabinet

The library contains a total of 912 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

The Tornado Stealth 80 may well be the neodymium sibling of the ceramic-powered Electric Lightning. It is extremely efficient, has slightly scooped mids, and it shines in the cleanest as well as the heaviest tonal applications. The TR S 80 delivers exceptional punch and attack, retaining all the clarity needed for palm-muted riffs and power chords, as well as crystal-clear clean rhythm playing. Captured in a selection of modern build cabinets, by 19 microphones in 16 positions each, it’s a great example of a modern-voiced speaker, tuned for contemporary applications.
