Description
The Jensen Falcon 12 IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet from Overloud is a SuperCabinet IR library that captures the full-bodied tones of the Jet Series Jensen Falcon 12 ceramic speaker in 1×12 and 2×12 open-back cabinet configurations captured by 19 microphones for an impressive 608 total impulse responses. Featuring an especially rich and fat speaker, compliments of its uniquely seamed cone membrane made of green cellulose pulp, this IR library is a great choice for heavy bass response and colorful, crunchy overdrive.
The 19 mics were used to record in four different horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles for a total of 16 IRs each. Designed exclusively for the SuperCabinet IR processor, a program which makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers, the Jensen Falcon 12 IR Library is an ideal choice for those seeking loose, fat lows, warm, rounded mids, and exceptional depth in a versatile and affordable package.
- Graphically browse the IRs in the library
- Blend them together
- Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
- Use the IR in the software
- Export the IRs in WAV format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
- 1×12″ open-back cabinet
- 2×12″ open-back cabinet
This process resulted in a total of 608 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.
The Falcon 12 is a warm, full-bodied, smooth-sounding speaker, thanks to its exclusive seamed-cone membrane, made by a unique blend of green cellulose pulp. The Falcon 12 has the ability of making small power amps sound bigger than life, with its trademark deep, powerful bass range. Paired with bright, present amps it will grant an evenly balanced tonal spectrum. Overloud’s capturing process, consisting of 19 microphones in 16 positions, allows the widest variety of tones.

Every microphone has been moved to four different horizontal positions (cap, cap edge, cone, and cone edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. All the measurements have been repeated for each cabinet in the library, and all IRs have been phase aligned, so they can be blended without phase cancellation.
