Description
The Jensen Electric Lightning 10-50 IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet from Overloud is a SuperCabinet IR library that captures the shimmering tones of the Jet Series Jensen Electric Lightning 10″, 50W ceramic speaker in 1×10 and 2×10 open-back cabinet configurations captured by 19 microphones for an impressive 608 total impulse responses. Featuring a speaker with an exceptionally bold high-frequency response and warm, subdued low end, this IR library is a great choice for bright, clean tones and strong, articulate overdrive.
The 19 mics were used to record in four different horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. Designed exclusively for the SuperCabinet IR processor, a program which makes it easy to blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers, the Jensen Electric Lightning 10-50 IR Library is an ideal choice for those seeking fat, warm lows, aggressive mids, and cutting highs with a nice sheen, in a versatile and affordable package.
- Graphically browse the IRs in the library
- Blend them together
- Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
- Use the IR in the software
- Export the IRs in WAV file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
- 1×10″ open-back cabinet
- 2×10″ open-back cabinet
This process resulted in a total of 608 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.
The Electric Lightning 10 shines and shimmers with clean tones, because of its exceptional response in the treble range. The midrange and bass may seem slightly subdued, yet the tonal balance is remarkably even. The Electric Lightning 10 cuts through any mix with powerful articulation as captured by the 19 microphones and 16 positions that Overloud has perfected.

Every microphone has been moved to four different horizontal positions (cap, cap edge, cone, and cone edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. All the measurements have been repeated for each cabinet in the library, and all IRs have been phase aligned, so they can be blended without phase cancellation.
