Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-In Bundle (Download)

The Eventide H910 Harmonizer Plug-In Bundle faithfully models the analog signal chain of the original H910 harmonizer to recreate the distinctive sound, quirkiness, and random glitches introduced by the unique pitch-change method characteristic of this classic studio tool. The bundle includes the H910 and H910 Dual plug-ins, as well as the HK941 keyboard option. It provides engineers, musicians, and producers with powerful options to create tuned musical intervals and perfect harmonies, spread guitars, fatten snares, apply subtle organic de-tuning to synths, or add slap-back delays to vocals, with effects ranging from subtle to wild robotic chaos. The H910 offers built-in delays, manual adjustment of +/-1 octave and Anti-Feedback mode to help eliminate feedback between a mic and a vocalist. Pitch change is set by the Manual knob, the Anti-Feedback oscillator, the Envelop Follower controls, or the HK941 keyboard (with MIDI).The H910 Dual version recreates the popular technique of running two H910 units in parallel to produce lush doubling and other widening effects. The HK941 keyboard option provides an automatable keyboard, which can be operated by your mouse or via MIDI. It allows you to “play” and harmonize the desired pitch in real-time, or bend it using the pitch wheel. The plug-in ships with hundreds of presets, including Artist Presets designed by top engineers and recording professionals such as Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle), Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), The Butcher Bros. (John Lennon, Bob Dylan), Joe Chiccarelli (Morissey, Frank Zappa), Roy Hendrickson (Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra), and Sasha (Madonna, Hot Chip)

  • Dual Stereo (cross unit)—when using feedback combined with pitch shifting, incoming signal can shift up or down continuously, shift up and then down continuously, or shift away from a pitch-ratio of 1 in both directions

HK941 Keyboard Option

  • When Pitch Control Select is set to KYBD, the HK941 keyboard or MIDI-control allows you to play and harmonize the desired pitch in real-time, or bend it via the pitch wheel
  • When set to ENV, the Envelope Follower allows the input signal to modulate the pitch ratio toward the setting of the Manual knob, as determined by the Attack, Release, and Sensitivity knobs
  • Out2 Level control sets the delay-only level from the H910 Output 2

Eventide Instant Phaser Mk II Phasing Plug-In for Pro Audio Scenarios (Download)

Available for download, the Eventide Instant Phaser Mk II is a plug-in modeled on a famed piece of hardware, one that offers distinct phasing capabilities, as well as stereoizing effects. The original hardware was intended to replace the often tedious effort required to set up tape flanging. What Eventide created is now commonly known as phasing—the act of manipulating the frequency spectrum similarly to how flanging manipulates time. This phaser plug-in boasts a few special features that distinguish it from others, including output routing modes that create interesting stereo effects. Using the Mode selector, you can select among output paths that can make it appear as though your sound is moving through the stereo space. The phaser also gives you more sources of modulation than the traditional LFO oscillator, adding manual, envelope, and remote options into the mix. Perhaps most interestingly, Eventide has not only modeled the original circuitry but how the electrical components age over time as well. You can use this feature creatively to create warped tones. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows formats. It can operate in AU, VST, and AAX plug-in formats.

Depth Knob Controls Mix

The Instant Phaser Mk II has a mix knob, but rather than being labeled Mix, it is called Depth. At 0% the output is entirely the phase shifted signal, so you will hear a slight detuning effect. At 100%, it is an even mix of the dry and wet signal for a full phasing effect.

Stereo Creativity

The original, hardware Instant Phaser had two outputs, a Main out and an Aux out. These outputs differ from each other in that one receives two extra phase-shift sections compared to the other. As a result, the Aux output can be considered out of phase with the Main output. If the two outputs are configured such that the Main out is sent to the left channel and Aux out is sent to the right, you will hear a stereo effect. This can sound like the output signal is moving in the stereo field or that it is becoming wider or narrower. The output path used by the plug-in can be configured with the Mode setting.

Multiple Modulation Sources

Unlike most phasers that are solely controlled by an LFO, the Instant Phaser gives you access to four different modulation sources:

  • Manual: Manual control of phasing via the center big knob
  • Oscillator: Classic LFO-controlled phasing with Oscillator knob controlling rate as well as Retrig and Sync controls
  • Envelope: Phasing controlled by level of input signal with adjustable threshold, release time, and side-chain flexibility
  • Remote: Phasing controllable via MIDI

Aged, Not Old

While Eventide modeled the hardware Instant Phaser, they discovered certain side effects from the aged components that, while not intended in the initial design, were nonetheless pleasurable. So the company decided to port the pleasantly obsolescent sound into the design with the Age knob. At 0%, the unit corresponds to a newly purchased phaser. Rotate this knob up to 100% to mimic the sound of the hardware’s electrical components aging.

Eventide Instant Flanger Mk II Classic Flanger Plug-In (Download)

Get the sound of manually flanged tape machines with the electronic download of Eventide Instant Flanger Mk II, a plug-in faithfully emulating Eventide’s famous FL201 hardware flanger from 1975. Its three flanging modes and dual outputs provide stereo effects ranging from subtle to wide, all without having to synchronize tape machines. There’s even a Bounce control that allows you to tweak the amount of speed overshoot/undershoot that a tape machine’s motor would exhibit upon the release of a previously pressed tape-reel flange.A large knob in the center of the plug-in enables manual alteration of the flanging effect and may be mapped to a mod wheel for hands-on manipulation. Controls are also provided for convenient adjustment of the effect depth, feedback, and low-frequency cut. The oscillator features a manual rate parameter, plus sync and retrigger switches. The envelope follower changes the flanging by following the amplitude of your signal and offers threshold and release knobs and a switchable sidechain for triggering it via a different signal source. Workflow-enhancing functions include adjustable input and output levels, a limit indicator, and a built-in preset manager. The Instant Flanger Mk II supports AAX Native, Audio Units, and VST2 plug-in formats and is compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Authentic emulation of the original 1975 FL201 studio hardware, famously heard on David Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes and Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time
  • Simulates the physical process of tape flanging (playing a track on two separate tape machines, pressing down on the flange of one of the tape reels, then letting go)
  • Dual outputs with three distinct flavors of flanging—shallow, deep, or wide
  • Manual control allows you to control the comb effect by turning the big knob
  • Oscillator drives the flanging at a user defined rate
  • Envelope follower drives the flanging based on your signal’s amplitude
  • Remote maps the flanging control to a mod wheel for tactile manipulation
  • Depth adjusts the intensity of the effect—100% depth adds the delayed signal to the dry signal, while negative 100% depth subtracts the dry signal from the delayed signal
  • Bounce feature creates the distinctive effect in software of a physical tape machine’s capstan motor hunting for its proper speed after the engineer removes his thumb from the tape reel flange
  • Use the sidechain for triggering the envelope follower from a separate source in the mix
  • Exercise total control of the oscillator with sync and retrigger controls
  • Tame the intensity by removing low frequencies from the flanged signal via the adjustable low-cut control

Eventide Omnipressor Dynamics Plug-In (Download)

The Eventide Omnipressor is a dynamics plug-in designed to provide subtle-to-wild dynamic modification of instruments and vocals for producers, musicians, and audio engineers in mobile rigs, project studios, and commercial facilities. It is based on the classic dual-knee hardware Eventide Omnipressor that was introduced in 1971.Its Function knob offers easy access to multiple dynamic effects including compression, limiting, gating, expansion, and dynamic reversal. A selectable bass cut for the detector circuit reduces the impact that low frequencies have on the effect, which is often well-suited for compression of bass guitars. The single-window GUI enables fast access to other parameters such as attack, release, threshold, and input and output levels. A selectable sidechain allows a different audio source to trigger the Omnipressor’s dynamic effect. The VU meter can be set to display input, output, or gain reduction levels, while dedicated LEDs indicate if gain is being attenuated or amplified. The Omnipressor supports AAX Native, Audio Units, and VST plug-in formats and is compatible with Mac OS X and Windows.

Eventide SP2016 Reverb Plug-In (Download)

The electronic download of SP2016 Reverb Plug-In from Eventide is an emulation of the original SP2016 hardware device reverb effect that graced the pro-audio world back in 1982. The plug-in can be used on Mac or Windows computers when paired with a host DAW program (sold separately) to create authentic emulations of Room, Stereo Room, and Hi-Density Plate algorithms available in two versions: Vintage and Modern. The Vintage algorithms are true to the original box, all the way down to the bit-depth. The Modern algorithms are brighter, more diffuse, and use a higher bit-depth. The algorithms naturally emulate every aspect of the sound of a real physical environment—from the complex early reflections, to the natural way in which the echo density increases with time, to the smooth Gaussian decay of the reverb tail. It’s a powerful simulation that lends itself to parametric control.Furthermore, control the structure of the reverb by fine-tuning the controls—including PreDelay, Decay, Position and Diffusion. The EQ section allows for simple high and low filtering of the reverb with adjustable filter ranges. The low filter can be used to cut or boost at the specified frequency. Now the must-have sonic beauty of these classic reverbs is available for your use in the box or live.

Three Distinct Reverb Types

  • Room: Your basic no-nonsense, no-frills ambient room. It’s a mono effect with stereo outputs. The extreme Pre-Delay range makes it possible to use this effect for reverberant doubling and single echoes.
  • Stereo Room: Recreates the ambience of a large concert hall with very clear, natural reverberation.
  • Hi-Density Plate: Plate-type reverb with dual pickups simulating the effect of a bigger, heavier plate. This reverb allows you to make vocals, guitars, and percussive instruments appear much bigger and brighter than they are.
  • Includes a variety of presets including some by Dave Pensado, Richard Devine, Joe Chiccarelli, Sasha, George Massenburg, The Butcher Bros., Buda & Grandz, Erin Tonkon, and more.
